CityLightBuzz: New Delhi: BRS Parliamentary Party Leader Vaddiraju Ravichandra, along with Sangareddy MLA Chinta Prabhakar, Zaheerabad MLA Koninty Manik Rao, and senior BRS leaders, met Union Minister for Road Transport & Highways Nitin Jairam Gadkari and submitted representations seeking key infrastructure projects on National Highway-65 (NH-65).
The BRS delegation requested the Union Minister to sanction flyovers at the Nizampur Crossroads and Arur Village Junction in Sangareddy district. They explained that both junctions are major connectivity points linking several surrounding villages and witness heavy traffic, including freight vehicles, buses, school buses, agricultural vehicles, and two-wheelers. Due to the absence of flyovers or grade separators, the junctions have become accident-prone, resulting in several fatal road accidents over the years.
The leaders urged the Central Government to grant administrative approvals and release funds for the immediate construction of flyovers to improve road safety, ease traffic congestion, and ensure smooth transportation for commuters.
In a separate representation, the delegation also requested the expansion of the Zaheerabad–Sangareddy stretch of NH-65 from four lanes to six lanes. They informed the Minister that the corridor has emerged as one of Telangana’s fastest-growing industrial routes due to the development of the National Investment and Manufacturing Zone (NIMZ), Industrial Smart City, logistics parks, automobile, pharmaceutical, and warehousing industries.
The BRS leaders pointed out that increasing industrial activity and rising traffic have made the existing four-lane highway inadequate, leading to congestion, delays, and frequent accidents. They emphasized that widening the highway would improve connectivity between Zaheerabad, Sangareddy, and Hyderabad, enhance logistics efficiency, reduce travel time, strengthen industrial growth, and facilitate faster emergency medical services.
The delegation expressed confidence that these infrastructure projects would significantly boost regional development, industrial investment, employment opportunities, and public safety in western Telangana.
