CityLightBuzz: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu Joins Tribal Women in Thimsa Dance, Pays Tribute to Alluri Sitarama Raju
Vijayawada/Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu participated in the International Tribal Day celebrations held at Ambedkar Kala Vedika in Vijayawada, highlighting the importance of protecting tribal culture, traditions and heritage.
During the celebrations, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu joined tribal women in the traditional Thimsa dance, celebrating the rich cultural heritage and traditions of tribal communities. His participation added a special attraction to the event and reflected the importance of preserving indigenous art and cultural practices.
On the occasion, the Chief Minister also paid floral tributes to legendary freedom fighter Alluri Sitarama Raju at the venue. Alluri Sitarama Raju is remembered for his historic role in the tribal resistance movement and his contribution to India’s freedom struggle.
Following the cultural programme, Chandrababu Naidu addressed the gathering and highlighted the importance of the welfare and development of tribal communities. He stressed the need to protect tribal traditions and cultural heritage while ensuring that tribal communities receive better opportunities in areas such as
education, employment, healthcare, infrastructure and economic development.
The celebrations brought together representatives of the tribal community, public representatives and government officials. The traditional cultural performances showcased the vibrant heritage and identity of tribal communities in Andhra Pradesh.
The programme was attended by Minister Sandhyarani, MLAs Bonda Umamaheswara Rao, Gadde Rammohan and Nimmaka Jayakrishna, MP Sivanath, tribal community leaders, government officials and other dignitaries.
The celebrations served as a platform to recognise the contribution of tribal communities and reaffirm the importance of social inclusion, cultural preservation and inclusive development.
