CityLightBuzz: Kamalapur. Huzurabad MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy strongly objected to what he described as political criticism and statements contrary to facts during the inauguration of double-bedroom houses in Kamalapur Mandal. Addressing the ministers during the programme, MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy said:
“Don’t tell lies. Speak the truth. This is not a platform for politics. Tell the people the facts.”
The MLA stated that the double-bedroom houses being inaugurated were constructed during the KCR government and urged the ministers to present the facts to the beneficiaries instead of making political remarks at the inauguration programme.
Provide Basic Infrastructure in Double-Bedroom Housing Colonies
MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy urged the ministers not to limit their visit to the inauguration ceremony but also address the problems being faced by residents. He highlighted issues including drainage, electricity and roads in the double-bedroom housing colonies and urged the government to take immediate steps to provide basic infrastructure.
He also requested the government to allocate funds to complete the remaining unfinished double-bedroom houses and carry out pending minor construction works. The MLA further appealed to the ministers to provide ₹25,000 financial assistance to each beneficiary who has received a double-bedroom house, to help them complete essential minor works inside their homes.
Implement Election Promises
Padi Kaushik Reddy also demanded that the Congress government fulfil the promises made to the people during the elections.
He questioned the status of promises including ₹2,500 monthly financial assistance for women, one tola of gold under Kalyana Lakshmi for girls’ marriages, and an increase in pensions, and asked the government to give answers to the people.
Demand for Uppal and Challur as Separate Mandals
The MLA demanded that Uppal in Kamalapur Mandal and Challur in Veenavanka Mandal be made separate mandals.He said that Uppal has a population of around 8,000 people and possesses the necessary qualifications for being upgraded into a separate mandal.
₹2 Crore Requested for Kamalapur Bus Stand
MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy also appealed to Minister Ponnam Prabhakar, who holds the Transport portfolio, to allocate ₹2 crore for the Kamalapur Bus Stand.
“Ponnam Prabhakar Garu is the Transport Minister. ₹2 crore should be allocated for the Kamalapur Bus Stand and the construction should be completed. This will be very useful for the people of Kamalapur. I am making this special request from this very platform,” Padi Kaushik Reddy said.
The MLA urged the government to move beyond inaugurations and political criticism and take immediate action to resolve the problems faced by the people of Kamalapur.
He reiterated that he would continue to fight for the development and welfare of the people of Kamalapur and the Huzurabad constituency and remain their voice.
