In view of the Orange Alert issued by the India Meteorological Department for several districts, Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has directed officials to remain on high alert and closely monitor the evolving weather situation.
The Chief Minister instructed authorities to strengthen preparedness at paddy procurement centres and expedite procurement operations to minimize potential losses. He emphasized the need to keep sufficient tarpaulins ready to protect paddy stocks from rain damage in procurement yards.
Officials were also advised to relocate tarpaulins from centres where procurement has already been completed, ensuring optimal utilization of available resources.
In light of the IMD’s warning about strong gusty winds, CM Revanth Reddy appealed to the public to stay cautious, avoid unnecessary travel, and follow safety guidelines.
