CM Revanth Reddy Reviews Ganesh Festival Arrangements in Hyderabad

CityLightBuzz: Hyderabad, September 12, 2026: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy held a high-level review meeting at the Council Meeting Hall on the Assembly premises to assess the arrangements for the upcoming Ganesh Festival and idol immersion celebrations in Hyderabad.
With the Ganesh festivities scheduled to begin from September 14, the Chief Minister directed officials to ensure comprehensive arrangements for the peaceful and safe conduct of the celebrations across the Greater Hyderabad region.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister stressed the need for strict security, effective traffic management, public safety and close coordination among various government departments. He directed police and municipal authorities to continuously monitor the arrangements throughout the festival period.
Officials were also instructed to establish a special control room at the Command Control Centre to coordinate the activities of various departments and respond promptly to any issues arising during the celebrations.
The Chief Minister directed authorities to maintain complete details of Ganesh pandals and their organisers in advance. Organisers were also advised to provide the police with details of important guests expected to visit the pandals so that necessary security and traffic arrangements could be made beforehand.
The government is providing free electricity supply to authorised Ganesh pandals, and the Chief Minister advised organisers to make use of the facility. He also instructed officials to ensure adequate arrangements at various immersion points, including cranes and other essential facilities, to facilitate the smooth and safe immersion of Ganesh idols.
Traffic management was another key issue discussed during the meeting. The Chief Minister directed the Police Department, GHMC and other concerned departments to work in close coordination to minimise traffic congestion and ensure the smooth movement of devotees and immersion processions.
CM Revanth Reddy emphasised that maintaining peace, law and order, public safety and communal harmony in Hyderabad should remain the top priority throughout the Ganesh Festival.
Officials and Public Representatives Attend
Hyderabad In-charge Minister Ponnam Prabhakar, Minister Mohammed Azharuddin, MP Vem Narender Reddy, Khairatabad MLA Danam Nagender, along with other public representatives and senior officials from the Police Department, GHMC, HYDRAA and other departments, attended the high-level review meeting.
