Every Voter Must Protect Their Right to Vote: MLA Maloth Ramdas Naik Directs BLOs During SIR Review Meeting

CityLightBuzz: Wyra, July 15, 2026: Wyra MLA Maloth Ramdas Naik conducted a review meeting with Booth Level Officers (BLOs) to assess the progress of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral rolls being undertaken by the Election Commission of India in the Wyra urban and rural areas. Addressing the meeting, the MLA emphasized that every vote is valuable in a democratic system and instructed BLOs to ensure that the names of all eligible voters are included in the electoral rolls. He directed them to visit every household, interact with voters, assist them in filling out the required forms, and carry out the voter list revision process efficiently. Ramdas Naik also stressed the importance of creating awareness among citizens, stating that it is the responsibility of every voter to safeguard their voting rights. He urged the public to extend full cooperation during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process by providing the necessary information to BLOs and ensuring that their names are correctly recorded in the electoral rolls. Describing the vote as the most powerful instrument in a democracy, the MLA appealed to every eligible citizen to register their name in the voter list and actively participate in the democratic process by exercising their right to vote.
