CityLightBuzz: HYDRA Commissioner A.V. Ranganath said the organization has been working with the inspiration of the Indian Constitution to protect government lands, lakes, parks, and public properties across Hyderabad.
Speaking on the occasion, Ranganath stated that over the past two years, HYDRA has safeguarded government assets worth nearly ₹1.5 lakh crore. He said six lakes have been completely restored, while restoration work on another 20 lakes is progressing rapidly. According to him, HYDRA has reclaimed hundreds of lakes, parks, and thousands of acres of encroached government land and handed them back to the government.
Referring to the Lothukunta land issue, the Commissioner alleged that a private real estate company attempted to encroach upon nearly 120 acres of government land valued at around ₹10,000 crore. He also alleged that ancient rock formations and hundreds of trees were destroyed without the required permissions, prompting HYDRA to take action following complaints from local residents and environmental groups.
Ranganath claimed that several land mafia groups and influential encroachers have filed cases against him in an attempt to obstruct HYDRA’s actions. He said 63 cases have been filed against him by those allegedly involved in illegal land grabbing.
Despite these challenges, the Commissioner asserted that HYDRA would continue its mission with honesty, transparency, and commitment to the rule of law. Expressing confidence in the judiciary, he said every allegation would be addressed through legal means and reaffirmed his resolve to protect public assets and uphold the responsibilities entrusted to him by the government.

నేను ఈ రెండేళ్ల కాలంలో హైడ్రా కమిషనర్ గా రాజ్యాంగ స్ఫూర్తి ననుసరించి, రాజ్యాంగంలోని ఆర్టికల్ 21,48A ప్రకారం ప్రభుత్వ ఆస్తులు, చెరువులు, పార్కులు రక్షించడం జరిగింది. మార్కెట్లో వీటి విలువ రూ. 1.50 లక్షల కోట్లు ( 17 బిలియన్ డాలర్లు). ఆరు చెరువులను పూర్తి స్థాయిలో పునరుద్ధరించాం. మరో 20 చెరువుల పునరుద్ధరణ పనులు కూడా వేగంగా జరుగుతున్నాయి. బడా బాబులు ఆక్రమించిన వందల చెరువులు, పార్కులు, వేల ఎకరాల ప్రభుత్వ భూముల ను హైడ్రా ఈ రెండు సంవత్సరాల లో వెనక్కి తీసుకుని ప్రభుత్వానికి అప్పగించింది. నిజం వైపు నిజాయితీ గా నిర్భయంగా, నిబద్ధతతో పని చేస్తాం కాబట్టే హైడ్రా కు ధైర్యం. ల్యాండ్ మాఫియా , భూ కబ్జా దారులు తప్పుడు సమాచారం తో కోర్ట్ లను తప్పు దోవ పట్టిస్తున్నారు. లోతుకుంట భూమి విషయం లో దాదాపు పది వేల కోట్ల రూపాయల భూమిని శాంతా శ్రీరామ్ అనే రియల్ ఎస్టేట్ సంస్థ కొట్టేయాలని చూసింది. పర్మిషన్స్ లేకుండా 2500 కోట్ల సంవత్స రాల హెరిటేజ్ గుట్టలను బ్లాస్టింగ్ చేస్తూ వందల చెట్లను ఎలాంటి అనుమతులు లేకుండా లేకుండా విచ్చల విడిగా విధ్వంసం చేసింది. Save the Rocks Society, పర్యావరణ వేత్తలతో పాటు స్థానికులు ఇచ్చిన కంప్లైంట్ మీద హైడ్రా రంగం లో కి దిగింది. ఎక్కడో మూడు కిలోమీటర్ల అవతల ఉందని చెబుతూ లేని భూమిని చూపిస్తూ, ఈ బిల్డర్ 120 ఎకరాల ప్రభుత్వ భూమిలోకి వచ్చి ఆక్రమించి నా మీద కంటెంప్ట్ కేసు వేయటం జరిగింది. నా మీద 63 కంటెంప్ట్ కేసులు ఉన్నాయి.. వాటిని వేసింది బడా భూ కబ్జా దారులే. బతుకమ్మ కుంట చెరువును మింగేయాలని చూసిన ఒకరు, లోతుకుంటలో రూ. వేల కోట్ల ప్రభుత్వ భూమి ని కొట్టేయాలని చూసిన ఇంకొకరు, సామాన్యుల ప్లాట్లు కొట్టేసి బడా కాంప్లెక్స్ లు కట్టాలని చూస్తున్న సంధ్యా శ్రీధర్ రావు, వేల సంఖ్యలో ఉన్న సింగరేణి కార్మికుల ప్లాట్స్ ను కొట్టేయాలని చూసిన ఒక నల్ల మల్లా రెడ్డి, క్రిమినల్ మాఫియా గా చెలామణి అవుతూ రూ. వేల కోట్ల విలువైన సామాన్యుల ప్లాట్స్, ప్రభుత్వ భూములు ఆక్రమించిన ముఖీం.. వీరందరికీ నేను హైడ్రా కమిషనర్ గా అడ్డు పడడటమే నేను చేసిన తప్పు. వీళ్ళు అందరూ వేసిన కేసులే నా మీద ఉన్న 63 కోర్ట్ ధిక్కార కేసులు. వాటిని నేను చట్ట పరంగానే ఎదుర్కుంటాను. నాకు న్యాయస్థానాలు అంటే పూర్తి నమ్మకం. చట్టాల పట్ల గౌరవంతో పని చేస్తూ వస్తున్నాను. గతంలో, ఇప్పుడు, మున్ముందు ప్రభుత్వాలు ఏ బాధ్యతలు అప్పగించినా నేను నా వైపు నుంచి 100% ఫలితాలు ఇవ్వటమే లక్ష్యంగా ఉంటాను. అలాగే పని చేస్తున్నాను, భవిష్యత్తులో కూడా అదు నిబద్ధతతో పని చేస్తాను.
