Jana Sainik’s Opinion: How We Missed A Historic Chance

POLITICAL

As a supporter of Jana Sena Party, I strongly believe that whenever two dominant parties control a state, there is always room for a third force to rise. But for that to happen, the leader must project himself as a strong and independent face with the ambition to lead, not merging with other forces.

We are seeing this clearly in Tamil Nadu. With DMK and AIADMK dominating for years, Vijay has emerged as a fresh alternative. His popularity and clear positioning as a standalone leader are giving people a new choice.

In Andhra Pradesh, our leader Pawan Kalyan has a bigger potential. He has immense public support, credibility and star power. But as a Janasena worker, I feel we missed a historic opportunity. Instead of contesting independently across all constituencies and directly challenging YCP and TDP, our leader chose an alliance with TDP.

Many of us believe that if we had contested all 175 seats independently in 2024, especially with the backing and goodwill associated with Narendra Modi, we could have built a powerful alternative and possibly even formed the government. We would have seen our leader Pawan Kalyan garu as Chief Minister.

Instead, our strength and momentum were diluted. Our leader has chosen to merge his strength and his relationship he had with Narendra Modi into TDP. The result is we are number-2 in the government.

Today, it feels like we are seen as a supporting force rather than a leading one. As a committed Janasena supporter, I hope that in the future we assert our independent identity and give people a true third option. Only then can we fully realize the vision of our leader.
