CityLightBuzz: Hyderabad August 29.2026, Mauritius Minister for Public Service and Administrative Reforms Luchmanen Penthia met Telangana IT and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu on Saturday at the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Telangana Secretariat.
During the meeting, the two ministers discussed opportunities and possible initiatives to further strengthen bilateral cooperation between Telangana and Mauritius across several key sectors, including administration, tourism, IT/ITeS, emerging technologies, skill development and education.
Mauritius Sees Telangana as a Trusted Partner
Mauritius Minister Luchmanen Penthia said that Mauritius considers Telangana a highly trusted partner, particularly in view of the state’s rapid development across various sectors.
He requested Minister Sridhar Babu’s cooperation in enhancing the capabilities of Mauritius government employees and providing training in modern administrative practices.The Mauritius delegation also expressed interest in collaborating with institutions in Telangana, including the MCRHRD, Young India Skills University and other leading educational institutions.Telangana Ready to Support Mauritius
Minister Sridhar Babu said Telangana is ready to extend its support and cooperation to Mauritius across various sectors.
He stated that the Telangana government gives high priority to international partnerships and collaborations, particularly in areas that can promote knowledge exchange, innovation, skills and economic development.Invitation to Telangana Rising Global Summit 2026
Sridhar Babu invited Minister Luchmanen Penthia to participate in the Telangana Rising Global Summit 2026, which the state government is scheduled to host on December 7 and 8, 2026.
The proposed summit is expected to provide an important platform for strengthening Telangana’s global partnerships and exploring new opportunities for investment, technology, education and economic cooperation. Officials Attend the Meeting
The meeting was attended by Secretary for Public Service Devendra Gopal, Dr. Nicholas Ragodoo, Chairperson of the Board of the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Public Service and Innovation (AIPSI), Dr. Ramesh Durbary, Registrar of AIPSI, Madhav R. Sulfule, Head of the MEA Branch Secretariat, Krishna Aditya, Special Secretary, Industries Department, and Anudeep Durishetty, Joint Secretary, IT&E&C, among other officials.
The meeting highlighted the potential for stronger Telangana–Mauritius cooperation in governance, technology, tourism, education and skill development.
