FLASH NEWS POLITICAL

CityLightBuzz: Hyderabad, BRS MLC Dr. Dasoju Sravan launched a sharp attack on Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy during a press conference held at Telangana Bhavan. BRS leaders Bommera Ramamurthy and Gosula Srinivas Yadav also participated in the press conference.
Sravan strongly criticised what he described as the Chief Minister’s alleged use of abusive and undignified language in recent public meetings at Mulugu and Parkal, particularly following the Independence Day celebrations. He questioned whether such language was appropriate for the Chief Minister of a party founded on the principles associated with Mahatma Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru.
Criticism Over Remarks Against KCR
The BRS MLC also objected to what he described as derogatory remarks against former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR). Sravan said KCR holds a significant place in the history of the Telangana statehood movement and warned the Chief Minister against making personal attacks on political opponents.
Using strong political rhetoric, he alleged that the Congress government was displaying arrogance and said the Chief Minister’s own conduct would eventually lead to political consequences.
Questions Revanth Reddy’s ’18 Hours of Work’ Claim
Sravan also questioned Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s claim of working 18 hours a day. He asked what the government had achieved during this period and raised questions regarding several electoral promises and welfare commitments.
He questioned the government over issues including:
Rythu Bandhu payments
Rythu Bima
Farm loan waiver
Government jobs and the Job Calendar
Mahalakshmi financial assistance
Women’s welfare promises
Pension payments
Sravan also alleged that Telangana had accumulated significant debt under the present government and made political allegations regarding the Chief Minister’s frequent visits to New Delhi.
Kalyana Lakshmi and Shaadi Mubarak
The BRS MLC raised concerns over the future of the Kalyana Lakshmi and Shaadi Mubarak schemes. He alleged that the Congress government was deliberately not filing counters in court proceedings relating to the schemes and claimed that there was an attempt to discontinue them.
Sravan recalled the social problems faced by poor families and women in Telangana in the past and said the welfare schemes introduced during the previous BRS government provided financial assistance to eligible families during marriage.
He demanded that the government clarify its position and ensure that eligible beneficiaries continue to receive the assistance.
Allegations Over Land and Real Estate
Sravan further alleged that a real estate and land-grabbing network was operating in parts of Hyderabad and surrounding areas. He specifically mentioned locations including Chevella, Shabad, Shamshabad, Nadergul and Vattinagulapally.
He alleged that government and private lands were being targeted and raised concerns over the proposed regularisation of certain lands, including evacuee properties.
The BRS leader demanded transparency in land-related decisions and alleged irregularities involving 22A lands and TDR-related matters.
Challenge to CM Over Assets
Sravan also challenged Chief Minister Revanth Reddy to participate in an open debate regarding the assets of the Chief Minister, his family members and associates.
He questioned how the assets of political leaders could allegedly increase while the state government was facing financial pressure and delays in areas such as fee reimbursement, Aarogyasri, pensions and employee benefits.
Paddy Bonus Challenge
Another major issue raised during the press conference was the ₹500 per quintal paddy bonus.
Sravan challenged the government to show where it was mentioned in the Congress election manifesto or Agriculture Declaration that the ₹500 bonus would be applicable only to fine-quality paddy.
He issued a provocative challenge, saying that if such a condition was actually mentioned in the manifesto, he would accept a symbolic punishment by shaving half his head. Attack on Government’s Social Media Approach
Sravan also criticised the government’s alleged approach towards citizens expressing their grievances on social media.
He argued that social media platforms have become an important democratic space where retired employees, unemployed youth, farmers and people affected by government policies can raise their concerns.
He condemned what he described as threats and abusive language against citizens who question the government.
BRS Demands Answers from Congress Government
Concluding his address, Dr. Dasoju Sravan demanded that the Congress government provide clear answers on its welfare commitments, the continuation of Kalyana Lakshmi and Shaadi Mubarak, the ₹500 paddy bonus, employment promises, land policies and the state’s financial situation.
He said the BRS would continue to question the government on behalf of the people of Telangana and take up public issues through democratic means.

Note: The allegations and claims regarding the Congress government, land issues, welfare schemes, finances and the Chief Minister’s conduct above are attributed to BRS MLC Dr. Dasoju Sravan’s statements at the press conference and have not been independently verified.
