CityLightBuzz: On the auspicious occasion of the Sri Balkampet Ellamma Thalli Kalyana Mahotsavam, Madiga Reservation Porata Samithi (MRPS) Founder and Chief Padma Shri Manda Krishna Madiga visited the renowned Sri Balkampet Ellamma Temple and offered special prayers to the presiding deity after the ceremonial celestial wedding (Kalyanam).
Manda Krishna Madiga sought the blessings of Sri Balkampet Ellamma Thalli and prayed for the peace, prosperity, and well-being of the people of Telangana. He also offered prayers for social harmony, equality, and the continued welfare of marginalized communities.
The Balkampet Ellamma Kalyana Mahotsavam, one of Telangana’s most significant religious festivals, attracts thousands of devotees from across the state every year. Following the divine Kalyanam, devotees participated in special rituals and sought the blessings of the Goddess, who is revered as a powerful protector and fulfiller of devotees’ wishes.
Speaking on the occasion, MRPS leaders said that seeking the blessings of Goddess Ellamma during the annual Kalyana Mahotsavam is a cherished tradition. They expressed hope that the Goddess would bless the people with good health, abundant rains, prosperity, and happiness.
The programme witnessed the participation of MRPS and MSP Hyderabad District leaders, office-bearers, party workers, and supporters, who accompanied Manda Krishna Madiga during the temple visit and participated in the special pujas.
The temple premises witnessed a large gathering of devotees, with the celebrations being conducted in a spiritually vibrant atmosphere under the supervision of the temple authorities.
Madiga Reservation Porata Samithi (MRPS) leaders reiterated their commitment to working for social justice, equality, and the welfare of the Madiga community while seeking the divine blessings of Goddess Ellamma for the success of their mission.
