CityLightBuzz: Hyderabad, Animation Film Set for Grand Theatrical Release on August 21 Across Both Telugu States The song from the upcoming animation film ‘Sardar Sarvai Papanna’, based on the life and legacy of historic warrior Sardar Sarvai Papanna, was grandly launched by former Telangana Minister V. Srinivas Goud and former Telangana Legislative Council Chairman Swamy Goud.
The film, which portrays the life story of Sardar Sarvai Papanna, popularly remembered as a Bahujan Chakravarthi, has been written, directed and produced by Venkatesh Goud Lingampalli under the banner of V.G. Movie Makers. Deepak Nyathi is overseeing the production.
The film is scheduled for a grand theatrical release on August 21 across both Telugu states through RK Films, headed by Dr. Pratani Ramakrishna Goud.
Srinivas Goud Praises Sardar Sarvai Papanna’s Legacy
Speaking at the song launch, former minister Srinivas Goud said that Sardar Sarvai Papanna fought for underprivileged communities and earned the title of Bahujan Chakravarthi through his courage and leadership.
He recalled that Papanna challenged the prevailing royal system of his time and demonstrated that an ordinary person could rise to the position of a ruler. He also highlighted Papanna’s victories over several forts and his challenge to the powerful Golconda Fort.
Srinivas Goud recalled the initiatives taken during the previous BRS government to honour Sardar Sarvai Papanna, including allocating a site on Tank Bund for his statue and observing his birth and death anniversaries.
He congratulated director-producer Venkatesh Goud for bringing the warrior’s story to the screen and wished the film success. Swamy Goud Calls Papanna an Inspiration
Former Legislative Council Chairman Swamy Goud expressed happiness over the making of a film based on the life of Sardar Sarvai Papanna, whom he described as a source of pride for the Goud community.
He said that presenting Papanna’s life story on the big screen had been a long-standing dream for many people. According to him, several attempts had been made in the past to make a film on Papanna, but they could not be completed for various reasons.Swamy Goud congratulated Venkatesh Goud for successfully completing the project and bringing it to theatres.
He said Papanna fought against oppressive rulers and stood up for the people with courage and determination. He expressed hope that audiences would extend their wholehearted support to the film.
RK Films to Release the Movie
Dr. Pratani Ramakrishna Goud, who is presenting the theatrical release through RK Films, said he was delighted that the film’s song was launched by Srinivas Goud and Swamy Goud. He said that he considered both leaders as modern-day inspirations who have worked for people while following the ideals associated with Sardar Sarvai Papanna. The makers are planning to release the film across both Telugu states on August 21, coinciding with the celebrations around Sardar Sarvai Papanna’s birth anniversary on August 18.He appealed to audiences to support the film and encourage the team.
Director Venkatesh Goud on the Film
Director and producer Venkatesh Goud Lingampalli said Sardar Sarvai Papanna was a courageous leader who fought against injustices committed by landlords, rulers and officials and worked towards providing good governance to the people.
He said the film has been created to introduce Papanna’s remarkable life and legacy to a wider audience through animation.
Venkatesh Goud thanked Srinivas Goud and Swamy Goud for launching the song and expressed confidence that the audience would support the film when it arrives in theatres
