The Telangana Movement Activists Recognition Committee has decided to begin consultations from June 23 as part of the process to identify and recognize those who participated in the Telangana statehood movement.
Members of the committee visited the Telangana Martyrs Memorial “Amarajyothi” in Hyderabad and inspected various facilities, including the audio-visual room.
A committee meeting was held under the leadership of Chairman K. Keshava Rao at Amarajyothi. The meeting was attended by Minister Ponnam Prabhakar, Government Whip & MLC Addanki Dayakar, MLC Kodandaram, former MLC Ramulu Naik, Mothe Shobhan Reddy, and others. The committee decided to hold consultations with various groups including Student JAC representatives, artists, writers, public organizations, advocates, doctors, and other sections of society to collect their views and suggestions.
As part of the process, discussions will be held with activists, welfare committees, and public organizations involved in the Telangana movement from 2001 to 2014, without political differences, to gather recommendations for proper recognition.
To ensure transparency, the committee will accept suggestions through both online and offline platforms. A dedicated website will be created for online submissions, while special officers will be appointed to receive and record offline representations.
