Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar challenged the Congress party over its repeated allegations against the Election Commission of India and Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs).
He said, “Congress won in Kerala, Telangana, Karnataka and Himachal Pradesh because of EVMs, right? Then are the Chief Ministers of these four states ready to resign, dissolve their Congress governments and face fresh elections using ballot papers? Congress leaders who repeatedly speak about EVMs and SIR should accept my challenge if they have the courage.”
Bandi Sanjay also criticized Congress leaders, including Rahul Gandhi, for not responding to the actions of Captain Smit Machchhar, whose intervention during a recent Flydubai flight emergency was widely reported. The incident involved an attack inside the cockpit, after which the injured captain helped enable the aircraft to be brought under control and safely diverted.
The Union Minister made these remarks while addressing the media at the BJP Telangana state office in Hyderabad on Friday evening. BJP leaders Dr. Manohar Reddy, Sangappa and Srivardhan Reddy, among others, were present.
