CityLightBuzz: Hyderabad/Telangana: Two ordinary tribal fans from Wankidi mandal of Kumram Bheem Asifabad district undertook an approximately 300-kilometre padayatra to meet former Telangana Chief Minister and BRS president K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR), with the sole aim of seeing him return as the Chief Minister of Telangana.Jade Tirupathi, an auto driver, and Durgam Shankar, a hotel worker, began their journey from Wankidi and walked for 11 days, covering an average of around 25 kilometres per day. Their journey culminated at KCR’s residence in Erravelli on Thursday, where they met the BRS chief.
According to the statement, the two undertook the long walk out of their deep admiration for KCR and without any personal demands or petitions. They said their only wish was to see KCR become the Chief Minister of Telangana once again.
With the assistance of Asifabad MLA Kova Laxmi, the two fans were able to secure an appointment with KCR.
KCR warmly welcomed them at his residence, enquired about their well-being and appreciated their determination and efforts. He congratulated the two for completing the long journey and praised their dedication.
KCR reportedly told them, “Our government will come again. Then definitely come and meet me.” He also encouraged them by patting them on the shoulder.
After meeting the two fans, KCR arranged a special vehicle for their return journey, and they subsequently left for their hometown.
The unusual padayatra by the two tribal fans has drawn attention as an expression of their personal admiration and political support for the former Chief Minister.
