CityLightBuzz: Hyderabad, As per the directions of BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao, the BRS Samara Bheri programme was organised on a large scale in Vikarabad town to highlight what the party describes as the Congress government’s failures during its 1,000 days in office. BRS has launched a statewide campaign around the 1,000-day milestone, including protests and constituency-level programmes.
A peaceful protest rally was conducted from New Gunj to NTR Chowrasta under the leadership of former Vikarabad MLA Dr. Metuku Anand, along with BRS State General Secretary Dr. R.S. Praveen Kumar. Dr. Metuku Anand’s Remarks
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Metuku Anand said:
“Revanth Reddy is being carried in a palanquin of illusions… Bhatti’s words are nothing but empty promises!”He alleged that the Congress government, which came to power promising to implement the Six Guarantees, has failed to fulfil its commitments even after completing 1,000 days.
Referring to Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s statement that the Congress would take care of the Six Guarantees and that he would provide a “seventh guarantee” to protect democracy, Dr. Anand questioned:“If the government does not even allow permission for a peaceful and democratic protest rally, then where is the democracy that you promised to protect?”
He questioned whether the Congress government had completely fulfilled even a single one of the promises made to the people.
According to Dr. Anand, the people have been left with broken promises, disappointment and neglect during the 1,000-day rule.
