BRS Leaders Submit Memorandum Over Six Guarantees and 420 Promises in Jagtial
Jagtial, September 8: BRS State General Secretary Tatiparthi Jeevan Reddy, along with BRS leaders and activists from various mandals of the Jagtial constituency, submitted a memorandum at the Prajavani programme held at the District Collectorate, alleging that the Congress government has failed to implement the Six Guarantees and 420 promises made during the elections.
The memorandum was submitted under the leadership of Tatiparthi Jeevan Reddy, along with former Jagtial Zilla Parishad Chairperson Dava Vasantha Suresh, BRS leaders, councillors and sarpanches.
The BRS leaders alleged that the Congress government has not fulfilled several of the assurances made to the people during the election campaign. They demanded that the government take immediate steps to implement the promised welfare and development programmes.
Protest Over Arrest of BRS MLAs
The BRS leaders also protested against the arrest of BRS MLAs who reportedly wore black clothes inside the Assembly as a mark of protest against the Congress government’s alleged failure to fulfil its election promises.
As a mark of protest, BRS leaders staged a sudden demonstration at the District Collectorate, raising slogans and demanding that the government respect the democratic right of elected representatives to raise public issues.
The BRS leaders said they would continue to fight for the implementation of the promises made to the people and would intensify their democratic protests if the government failed to respond to their demands
