CityLightBuzz: Hyderabad, October 3, 2026: Telangana Chief Secretary Sanjay Jaju, IAS, reviewed arrangements for the grand-scale celebration of the Bathukamma festival from October 10 to 18 at the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Telangana State Secretariat on Saturday.
The state government is making elaborate arrangements for Saddula Bathukamma, the grand finale of the festival, which will be celebrated at Tank Bund on October 18. Thousands of women are expected to participate in a major Bathukamma procession from the Amaraveerula Smaraka Kendram near the Secretariat to Tank Bund.
Special Arrangements at Tank Bund
Officials have been directed to make comprehensive arrangements for the celebrations, including traffic management, barricading, lighting and other public amenities. Special facilities will also be arranged for Bathukamma immersion at Bathukamma Ghat near Tank Bund Children’s Park and Necklace Road.
Hundreds of artists are expected to participate in the procession and showcase Telangana’s traditional cultural performances. A special stage will also be set up at Tank Bund for public
representatives and dignitaries.
Bathukamma Displays Across Hyderabad
As part of the celebrations, Bathukamma displays and floral decorations will be installed at major junctions across Hyderabad. Government offices will also be decorated to create a festive atmosphere.Special Bathukamma programmes are planned at Ravindra Bharathi, while celebrations will also be organised at prominent tourist destinations across Telangana.
Special Bathukamma Logo
The government is also designing a special Bathukamma logo reflecting Telangana’s vibrant cultural heritage. The logo is expected to incorporate the theme of the Telangana Global Summit as well.
