Kavitha Kalvakuntla: Professor K. Jayashankar was a great visionary who dedicated his entire life with unwavering commitment to the sole objective of achieving a separate Telangana State.
He consistently questioned the injustices meted out to Telangana and strongly advocated the need for a separate state. He firmly believed that the people of Telangana should govern themselves with dignity and self-respect.
Throughout the Telangana movement, Professor Jayashankar inspired generations by keeping the spirit of the movement alive among the people. On the occasion of his birth anniversary, I pay my heartfelt tributes to this great intellectual and architect of the Telangana movement.Taking inspiration from his vision of ensuring equal opportunities for all sections of society in the Telangana we achieved, and his dream of building a Social Telangana, the Telangana Rakshana Sena will continue to strive relentlessly for the realization of that vision.
