Exams Postponed for Bakrid: Osmania University Revises May 28 Schedule

Osmania University has rescheduled all degree examinations that were scheduled for May 28, 2026, in view of Eid al-Adha.

Vice-Chancellor Prof. Kumar Molugaram clarified that no exams were originally planned for May 27. Following the confirmation of Bakrid on May 28 after the crescent moon sighting, the university decided to postpone exams on that day to a later date.

The affected exams include B.Com, B.Sc (Honours), B.Sc Biomedical Science, and BA (CBCS) papers across various semesters.

The decision comes after a request from Asaduddin Owaisi to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, ensuring students celebrating the festival are not inconvenienced.

Students are advised to follow only official updates from the university for revised exam dates.
