CityLightBuzz: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Thursday inaugurated Premier Energies’ new 5.6 GW solar module manufacturing facility at Seetharampur in Ranga Reddy district, marking a significant milestone in Telangana’s clean energy and industrial growth. During the visit, the Chief Minister toured the state-of-the-art manufacturing unit and reviewed the advanced production technologies deployed at the facility. Spread across 75 acres, the new plant adds 5.6 GW of solar module manufacturing capacity, taking Premier Energies’ total manufacturing capacity to 11.1 GW.

The facility is equipped with cutting-edge technologies, including G12R TOPCon module manufacturing lines, India’s first Zero Bus Bar manufacturing unit, AI-powered quality inspection systems, and Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV)-enabled material movement. The fully automated production lines are capable of manufacturing one solar module every four seconds, ensuring high-speed production with precision and consistency.

On the occasion, the foundation stone was also laid for two major expansion projects at the Seetharampur campus—a 6 GWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) facility and an 18,000 metric tonnes per annum (MTPA) aluminium frames manufacturing unit. These projects are expected to strengthen India’s clean energy manufacturing ecosystem and support the growing demand for renewable energy infrastructure.

The Seetharampur campus is expected to generate more than 3,000 employment opportunities once fully operational, contributing significantly to industrial development and job creation in Telangana. The expansion is aimed at strengthening India’s self-reliant renewable energy ecosystem while enhancing Premier Energies’ capability to serve both domestic and global markets. The inauguration ceremony was attended by Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, Minister for IT, Industries & Commerce Duddilla Sridhar Babu, senior government officials, and representatives of Premier Energies.
