CityLightBuzz: Varuna Yagam Performed and New CC Road Inaugurated by Khairatabad MLA Danam Nagender
As part of the Telangana Endowments Department’s statewide initiative, Varuna Yagams are being conducted at prominent temples across the state, seeking abundant rainfall and relief from the prevailing water scarcity.
In Hyderabad, a Varuna Yagam was performed at the Sri Lakshmi Ganapathi Temple, Ameerpet, under the leadership of Khairatabad MLA Danam Nagender, in the presence of Somajiguda Corporator Sangeetha Srinivas. Special prayers were offered for timely and abundant rainfall, improved drinking water availability, and the well-being and prosperity of the people of Telangana.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Danam Nagender expressed hope that Lord Varuna would bless the state with widespread rains, bringing an end to Hyderabad’s drinking water problems. He observed that despite it being July, water tankers continue to witness heavy demand across the city, highlighting the urgent need for a good monsoon. Following the religious ceremony, MLA Danam Nagender also inaugurated a newly constructed CC Road, reaffirming the government’s commitment to improving civic infrastructure and providing better amenities for local residents. The leaders prayed for abundant rainfall, improved water resources, and continued development and prosperity across Telangana.
