Comprehensive Arrangements Planned for Peaceful and Successful Celebrations
CityLightBuzz: Hyderabad September .01.2026, A review meeting was held at MCRHRD to discuss arrangements for the smooth, peaceful and successful conduct of Ganesh Utsav 2026 in Hyderabad. The meeting focused on advance planning and coordination among various departments to ensure that devotees and the general public face no inconvenience during the festivities.
The meeting was attended by Government Advisor V. Hanumantha Rao, Khairatabad MLA Danam Nagender, MLA Naveen Yadav, DGP C.V. Anand, Police Commissioners, RTC MD Nagireddy, Collectors, GHMC Municipal Commissioners, senior officials from various departments, and representatives of the Bhagyanagar Ganesh Utsav Samithi. Special Focus on Security
The meeting reviewed comprehensive security arrangements to maintain law and order across the city during the celebrations. Special attention was given to Ganesh mandaps, major junctions, procession routes and immersion points, along with adequate police deployment.
Traffic Management
With large numbers of devotees expected to participate, officials discussed traffic management, route diversions, parking facilities and vehicle movement along procession routes. A coordinated traffic plan will be put in place to minimise inconvenience to devotees and the public.
Ganesh Immersion Arrangements
Detailed discussions were held on arrangements for Ganesh idol immersion. Officials reviewed the provision of cranes, barricading, lighting, police security, emergency services and other safety measures at immersion points.
Sanitation and Civic Facilities.The meeting also focused on maintaining cleanliness throughout the festival. GHMC officials will undertake special sanitation measures around mandaps, procession routes and immersion locations, including waste removal, cleanliness and drinking-water facilities.
Management of Ganesh Mandaps
Officials discussed necessary permissions, safety standards, electricity arrangements and crowd management at Ganesh mandaps. Better coordination among various departments was emphasised to ensure the smooth conduct of the celebrations.
Devotee-Friendly Arrangements
All departments were urged to work together and make advance arrangements so that devotees and the general public can participate in the celebrations safely and comfortably.
The Police, GHMC, RTC, Revenue, Sanitation and other concerned departments will coordinate closely to ensure that Ganesh Utsav 2026 is conducted peacefully, safely and successfully across Hyderabad.
